Training for Philips Employees

The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED course teaches participants the lifesaving skills of CPR for adults, children, and infants; and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to someone that is suffering from cardiac arrest in a comfortable instructor-led program.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Philips HeartStart AED and the 1.5 millionth sold, Philips Cares, the Corporate Social Responsibility program in North America, is sponsoring CPR AED training for Philips employees free of charge provided by Code One.

Employees who successfully complete this course will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED certification card which is valid for two years from the date of the course. Refer to the tabs below for more information.

This course will be provided at 11 Philips locations in the United States.
Registration for this training is first come—first served until class limits are reached.

The Heartsaver CPR/AED course teaches how to recognize and treat cardiac arrest in Adults, Children, and Infants; and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator.

Course topics include:

  • CPR AED for adults, children, and infants

This course provides the personalization of an instructor led Heartsaver CPR/AED program in a comfortable and relaxed setting. This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to respond to an emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. It is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a cardiac emergency or serious life threatening emergency.

This course is intended for individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements such as nursing assistants, coaches, personal trainers, and industrial safety teams. This course is also appropriate for members of the community who want to be prepared in the event of a cardiac arrest or serious life threatening injury.

Successful completion of this course results in an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED certification card which is valid for two years from the date of the course.

A Heartsaver CPR AED student manual, pocket mask, and two-year American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED certification are provided to each participant in this course.

A skills exam is completed at the end of this program. Proficient demonstration of CPR skills is required for certification.
